Why are forums not as popular as they used to be?

Is it because of modern platforms like reddit, discord etc? Shame, I like forums! You chat with others without clutter etc. Fast and quick! 🤔

Centralized social media lead to a decline of things like blogs, forums, and IRC chat rooms, because of connivence and everyone on one platform instead of accounts on every forum community.

Maybe there will be a breaking point where people will just seek out alternatives

Shame that everyone wants everything all in one app now. 😭🙏, forums are good, IRC is also good, blogs are awesome! Come on humans, yall (them) use Tumblr etc yet they don't use fourms?! Sad.
