If I were to describe the first impressions of this episode, it would be a buddy-cop detective anime filled with twists of expectations.

At first, I thought the duo, Ashaf and Guideau are witch slayers when they arrived to town. Turns out, they're basically law enforcement for witches. Despite Guideau's unhinged personality and unending endurance, she really wants to get rid of her witch's curse. As for Ashaf, his calm demeaner contrasts nicely with Guideau, making him the straight man of the duo.

With this episode focusing about Lady Witch, a hero of the town that earned its trust only to enact vengeance for her heroic grandmother, it gives meaning to how complex current witches in society are, as well as the prejudice their society has on witches.

I'm looking forward to the next episode and hope to see what the duo of the Order of Magical Resonance will go to next.
