Frequently Asked Questions (Fluxer)

What is Fluxer?

Fluxer is an open source chat application simular to Discord.

Does it has federation?

Fluxer devs have stated that this feature is coming in 2027. For now, the application will have the ability to switch between servers and you have to sign up for Yurigaoka if you don’t have an account.

Do I have to pay for premium features?

No, you do not. However, if you want to support the costs of hosting, donationsare appreciated.

Are there file upload limits?

Yes, Yurigaoka is not a file-sharing service and you shouldn’t use it as one. Uploaded files have expiration dates based on activity based on file size. We implement expiration dates so we don’t end up using up all the storage as its not unlimited.

For long term storage, we recommend that you upload it to your own website, or cloud storage you own.

Here are the expiration time limits

• Files under 15 MB - 3 years
• Files over 15 MB, but under 400 MB - 30 days
• Over 400 MB - not allowed.

How do I get Community Creation rights?

Community Creation rights require additional verification to ensure bad actors don’t create communities to abuse the ToS. You can request these rights in two ways:

• Providing a social profile link (e.g. Fediverse, Bluesky, AniList/MyAnimeList/Kitsu profile) or website URL) to the staff in the Sakurajima community.
• Providing a social profile link (e.g. Fediverse, Bluesky, AniList/MyAnimeList/Kitsu profile) or website URL) via our ticketing system.

All accounts must be related to Asian Media or culture in some way, through the type of content created or interests. Non-related accounts will have their community creation request denied. However, once you gain these rights, you can create any communities you want, even if they are non-asian media related.
