Akutsu and Lily definitely subverts the common expectation of devil and angel, although it isn't the first time that I've this kind of trope is subverted. I'm looking forward to how far Lily's ensnarement toys with the Akutsu.

During the initial introduction of Lily after Akutsu's blunder, we do notice that Hirota mentioned that Lily is a half and a kikokushiko (帰国子女). Kikokushiko is a term used for someone that is returning to Japan after an overseas study.

Given Lily's origin, it feels like a double entendre. Given that Lily said to Akutsu that angels fundamentally do not lie (which also means they could tell twisted truths), Lily may have been born out of a Human and Angel in Japan if Hirota is telling the truth when Lily introduced herself. She then left Japan to train as an Angel before returning for her own missions. This may have been the most likely scenario that would fit both her criteria and her disguise under human eyes.
