On October 28th 2022, I started Sakurajima as an alternative to Twitter when it was taken over by Elon Musk. Since then, we have grown quite a bit, although of course the number of active users have stagnated over the past year. We have expanded our services beyond Mastodon and the Forums since 2022 with having a Pixelfed, Misskey, blog hosting and more. This year, we worked on reviving AniBlogTracker after the old one discontinued service earlier this year.
As we head to the fourth year, we plan to bring up our Loops server and also bringing up our own At Protocol compatible PDS servers in the near future.
If you want to support our projects, you are free to donate to us. Our goal is to have at least close to $127 a month (this includes the virtual private server that hosts other Sakurajima services). This is currently at $59 a month from Patreon as of today.
