Profile banner looks terrible after uploading

I just made an account on sakurajima.social! It seems like a good point of entry into the Fediverse, but I am puzzled by why my banner image looks very crunchy after I upload and crop it. The original image is a 2480 x 3508 9MB PNG and looks nothing like this. I see other profiles have nice-looking banners; why is mine being severely compressed/downscaled?

I’ll bring this up with the Sharkey team. Maybe try uploading it as a maximum quality JPEG and crop it to see if it does the same thing.

Apparently, it’s already fixed, as mentioned, but we are waiting on a fix since the recent commits broke federated edits.
