AniBlogTracker is now Back

It took a while, but after a little over 1 week of coding the backend in Python, the newly remade AniBlogTracker is now back. Note that while the basic features like browsing recent and searching posts along with browsing posts by site and author now works, the ability to subscribe/follow sites is not done yet. Also, I’m in the process of adding sites to the tracker, which will take time.

It’s officially located at aniblogtracker.app.

The end goal is to have the ability to filter out types of sites the user is interested in. The current feed as it stands is kind of dominated by news sites, but I want to make it possible for users to choose what sites to hide from the main feed along with having a following feed, which makes it act like a RSS reader, but for Japanese media and culture content. In short, we are making a better version of the original.

Owners of the site that is on AniBlogTracker will eventually be able to claim their site, and add Mastodon and BlueSky profiles, and even modify the description, type of site, and title of the site in the future.

As always, the “new” AniBlogTracker in it’s non-stable release state will have bugs, and users are encouraged to register on the Sakurajima Forums and report any bugs on the Bug Tracker/Support forums. Sakurajima Forums will be used as the account management for AniBlogTracker, AniBlogTracker will only store the user’s OAuth session tokens from Xenforo, site the user owns after claiming it, subscriptions, and settings.
